Hojjat al-Islam Navvab Stresses Need to Provide Specific Plan to Resolve Detriments to Hajj
Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab in a meeting of Hajj officials emphasized that the detriments identified by the expert committees should be fixed according to the specified plan and schedule.
According to the Hajj Information Base, during the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader's Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, which was presided by Hojjat al-Islam Navvab in Mecca, the Head of Iranian Pilgrims while referring to the pathology conducted before and during the Hajj season said that the dynamic of a group like the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization is to act faster to fix the damage so that it does not happen again in the future.
"If the damage is detected, the previous way should not be continued and the time of the force should not be wasted as the frameworks should be defined and the damage should be fixed as a priority.
In the continuation of this meeting, Mr. Seyyed Abbas Hosseini, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, pointed out the situation of the return flights and the delay caused in sending a group of pilgrims from Jeddah Airport, and said, "We are trying to resolve this problem by contacting the officials of Iran Air to return to the previous conditions so that the duration of the dispatches to Iran is not delayed.
He also announced the launch of sending pilgrims to Syria from Tuesday (Tir 27) with one flight per week with a capacity of 80 people from Tehran, and said that "we are trying to increase the number of pilgrims by increasing the number of flights and by dispatching more pilgrims from other provinces".
In the continuation of this meeting, Mr. Gholamreza Rezaei, the head of the Hajj operations headquarters, presented statistics on the return of pilgrims to the country with 18 to 19 flights per day, and stated that by Sunday 27,361 pilgrims in the form of 181 convoys from Medina airport with 120 flights and 28,439 people from Jeddah airport with 118 flights returned to Iran and in the form of 185 caravans.
The Deputy Director of Hajj and Umrah Organization announced the number of Iranian pilgrims present in Mecca and Medina by the end of Sunday as 19,731 and 9,724, respectively, and said that the number of pilgrims who have traveled from Mecca to Medina by train and bus is 18,391 in the form of 123 caravans and 10,995 in the form of 79 caravans.
He also pointed to the meeting of the Hajj and Pilgrimage officials of Iran with the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia and the negotiations held for the establishment of the Umrah pilgrimage and the preparation of the Saudi side to welcome Iranian pilgrims, and said that the Saudi side promised that the possibility of using Taif airport to send pilgrims to Iran will be provided to the land of revelation.
This meeting continued with the report of the delegation to the family caravan hotel to investigate the problems and concerns of the pilgrims, the actions of the representative office of the Hajj and pilgrimage organizations regarding the announcement of the shortcomings of Saudi companies in providing services in this year's Hajj and the remaining demands from the last Hajj, and Dr. Tahir Daroudi, Deputy Medical Director of Hajj and Pilgrimage, said, "There are 8 patients in Saudi hospitals in Mecca and 7 patients in Medina, and four of them who are connected to ventilators will be transferred with the coordination of the airline and the dispatch of a medical team, and the rest of the patients will be discharged in the next two or three days and have no problem for being dispatched.
He mentioned the number of patients admitted to Medical Center Hospital as 8 people and said that the exit of the medical staff is also being done with a gentle slope due to the decrease in pilgrims.
The Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs gave recommendations and emphasized that medical services should be provided in accordance with the pilgrim population living in hotels.
