Hojjat al-Islam Navvab Stresses Need for Holding Umrah Pilgrimage in Line With Islamic Republic of Iran System

Head of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Abdolfattah Navvab in a meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization stressed that all units should try to launch the Umrah pilgrimage in line with the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran

According to Hajj information Base, in the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization which was under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, the head of the Iranian pilgrims referred to the suspension eight years of the Umrah journey, and asked the officials of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to work to start the Umrah in line with the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, meantime, called for proper planning for the launch of Umrah trips in the month of Rabi al-Awwal and emphasized that considering the enthusiasm of the people and the number of Umrah pilgrims who have registered, in addition to internal coordination, the way to cooperate with the companies of the host country should be defined as soon as possible. 


In this meeting, Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Seyed Abbas Hosseini and the organization's deputy head for Hajj and Umrah Gholamreza Rezaei referred to the expertise carried out regarding the resumption of Umrah pilgrimage, and emphasized that starting these trips with a gentle slope is a priority of the Hajj Organization's plans and a set of measures which should be done inside and in connection with Saudi companies is being pursued.


Mr. Hosseini also expressed the positive opinion of the honorable President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and the government's will to start Umrah, and pointed to the pursuit of the currency needed for Umrah trips through the central bank, and the head of Iranian pilgrims asked the deputy head of Hajj and Umrah Organization to investigate the uncertainties of the Umrah trip and present a complete report in next week's meeting so that the operation of Umrah trips can be implemented.


In the continuation of this meeting, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization also cited the expectations of other organizations from the Sama system as the reason for the burden of this system, and said that the Hajj organization should not get involved in issues that are not related to the registration and payment of insurance fees, and it also affects the speed and efficiency of the Sama system. 


Hojjat al-Islam Nawab asked the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to reflect these issues in correspondence with the central headquarters of Arbaeen and emphasize that the Sama system was designed to meet the duties and responsibilities assigned to the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and to maintain its efficiency, no requests should be made by other organizations and institutions to put this system under pressure and congestion.


At the end of this meeting, there was an exchange of views regarding the issue of not paying attention to the category of pilgrimage and the duties and responsibilities related to the field of pilgrimage and pilgrimage in the Seventh Development Plan bill.


Mr. Hamid Reza, the Deputy Leader of the Organization of Hajj and Pilgrimage Management and Resources Development, presented a report in this regard and added that in this program, there is practically no mission for the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, even though it is in charge of the Hajj, Umrah, and Atabat programs. .


He further presented suggestions for reforming this process and the legal representative of the Supreme Leader's representative also pointed to the missions of this group in the target countries and emphasized that in coordination and interaction with the honorable representatives of the Islamic Council, this issue will be seriously pursued and the necessary reforms by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization should be reflected in order to be applied during the review of the Seventh Plan Bill.
