Iran and Malaysia emphasis on development of religious cooperation
Iran and Malaysia’s representatives emphasized on the expansion of religious cooperation.
According to the Hajj information base quoting from IRIB news agency from Kuala Lumpur, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian Pilgrims and Religious Affairs Minister of Malaysia agreed on the development of religious affairs cooperation in the fields of religious dialogue, Hajj and Pilgrimage and Halal industry.
On a trip to Malaysia and meeting with the Religious Affairs of this country, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab appreciated the appropriate stance of the Malaysian government and nation in supporting Palestine, as well as the initiative of this country Prime Minister regarding the printing and sending one million Qurans to Europe in response to Sweden's recent disrespect to Quran. He also stressed on the development of bilateral joint cooperation, especially in the field of Hajj and pilgrimage.
The representative of our country also invited head of the Islamic Development Organization of Malaysia known as Jakim Hakimeh Muhammad Yusuf to visit Iran with the aim of investigating, identifying and cooperating between the two countries in new sectors of halal industry, which is under the Islamic Development Organization of Malaysia.
Referring to the favorable relations between the two countries, Mohammad Naeem Mukhtar also called at this meeting for more interaction and cooperation between Iran and Malaysia in the field of Hajj, sending religious groups, religious dialogues and development of the halal industry in order to identifying new subjects for the issuance of halal certificates.
Religious Affairs Minister of Malaysia also welcomed the Islamic Republic of Iran experiences in organizing affairs related to Hajj and pilgrimage.
