Head of Iranian Pilgrims Praised Volunteer Physicians Medical Staff
The Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, in a meeting with volunteer physicians and medical staff of Hajj 1403, said, "Dear ones, you have appreciated God's blessings in the best possible way, and the reward of your presence in the clinic for the visit of pilgrims is greater than the circumambulation and pilgrimage of pilgrims."
According to Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, in a meeting with the volunteer doctors and medical staff of the Hajj 1403 in Mecca, said that being in the Land of Revelation is a valuable opportunity for pilgrims to visit and what you have done in these days is wonderful and its reward is greater than your Hajj. "You were able to be a pilgrim to God's House and as a servant of God you were able to create hope and treat and revive ill pilgrims.
He described this movement and activity as heartfelt, jihadist and selfless and stated: God has extended His grace to you and you also paid the zakat of your knowledge as a doctor by serving the pilgrims of God's house. Dear ones, you have appreciated the blessing that God has given you in the best possible way, and the reward of your presence in the office for visiting pilgrims is more than circumambulating and visiting pilgrims.
Referring to the words of the Imams of the Infallible Imams (AS) regarding serving the pilgrims, the head of Iranian pilgrims added that according to the sayings of the Infallible Imams, if someone does not use his knowledge in the way of serving the people, God will take away the success of the action from him. "According to these points, if you have done something out of piety or philanthropy, the reward for it will be greater with God."
"Thank God for providing the ground for this trip to come to the land of revelation, because more than 200 pilgrims canceled their trip and could not come," he added.
The head of the Iranian pilgrims emphasized that "we are in a country that has its own conditions, and clarified that "all the talks about shortcomings have been requested from the officials of the host country and we have also presented a plan for that, but they don't accept and they don't do anything themselves".
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab pointed out that the correct performance of the rulings and Hajj based on the fatwa of the pilgrims is our main priority, and noted about the necessity of the presence of clerics in the caravans.
"All the clerics of the caravans must have attended several Umrah tables and after that to be present in the caravan and then become the caravan's chaplain, because the proper performance of Hajj is a necessity for the pilgrims who have been in line for about two decades from the time of registration to the departure, and the condition of the chaplains to participate in the Hajj is to verify their scientific, physical, and spiritual abilities. And it is their mentality that we do not see such cases in other countries," he added.
Therefore, in the report at the end of this meeting, a number of doctors and medical staff presented their opinions and suggestions on how to better provide services to pilgrims.
Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center of the Red Crescent and Red Crescent Society, also said in his speech: "The present group of pilgrims have medical staff qualifications such as doctors, dentists, physiotherapists and nurses, who are present as pilgrims in the 1403 Hajj."
He continued that last year, for the first time, the capacity of the volunteer treatment staff was used in Hajj, but "we were in their service for a short time, and now, based on previous experience, we realized that about 459 pilgrims of God's House" are from the treatment staff. "We communicated with some of them and this year, after completing the legal affairs, we benefited from the capacity of 113 of these loved ones in the fields of medicine and health."
Regarding the presence of doctors and volunteer medical staff among the pilgrims and medical centers, Marashi mentioned that these loved ones provided different services to the Hajj pilgrims based on the opportunities they had. "More than 700 hours of work of these loved ones have been recorded in the system and some have not been recorded due to technical problems. The services provided by the loved ones are many and include group training, psychological counseling, radiologist, physiotherapist, dentist, nursing, plastering, splint, dressing; control of vital signs, serum therapy and injections are some of the services provided by these loved ones."
The head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center while addressing the physical presence of volunteer doctors and medical staff good during the days of Tashreeq said that the services provided by these dear ones to the pilgrims were very effective and created a sense of security for the visitors of Rahman.
"In the coming years, we will pursue educational and research programs in Iran from the beginning, so that we can benefit from the presence of these dear ones in Hajj with a better organization," he added.
At the end, Pir Hossein Koulivand, the head of Iran's Red Crescent Society, while thanking the volunteer doctors and medical staff for their service, explained that Hajj journey has the revival of divine attributes, and one of those attributes is helpfulness. Pilgrims in the land of revelation get the color and smell of Imams (AS). Our prophets and imams, besides being religious missionaries, have also been helpers.
"In our field, it is necessary to save lives, reduce pain and help the sick, and it is said in the narrations that the one who benefits the people the most is closer to God," he added.
"You revived a number of God's pilgrims, and the fact that you have become a reference point for the needs of God's servants is a joy. Although this year was a difficult year for several reasons and we had restrictions from the host country, but the performance of the entire treatment staff was positive."
Koulivand announced that the nature of the work of the Red Crescent Society is volunteering, and in this regard, there was a 50 percent increase in volunteering by doctors and medical staff compared to last year. "All the volunteers took care of the patients with love and sensitivity. I rarely saw pilgrims criticizing the medical staff and even asking to kiss the hands of our medical staff."
"We are trying to use the services of our friends in Arbaeen and they will be with us next year as the main staff of the hospital," he added.
