Hojjat al-Islam Navvab in the gathering of Uganda Intellectuals;
The enemy of Muslims is the enemy of all Muslims

Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab left Dar es Salaam, the capital of Tanzania, after a five-day trip to Tanzania, and arrived in Kampala, the capital of Uganda.

According to the Hajj information base, in the first program of this trip, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs, while meeting with the Grand Mufti of Uganda, gave speech in a meeting with the religious affairs directors of the provinces and judges of this country.


Referring to the importance of Hajj in realizing Islamic unity, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also addressed at the meeting the issue of equality and convergence of Muslims during the Hajj.


Referring to a hadith from the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH), he added: according to the Prophet of Islam, no Arab is superior to a non-Arab, and no white is superior to a black, and the only thing that makes people superior is piety.


In order to realizing the ideal of Muslim unity, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab mentioned several important points, including adherence to the Quran and Sunnah and respecting to difference of views as the common principles of Muslims.


Promoting culture of dialogue and interaction with each other, benevolence for each other, not prioritizing individual interests, opposing divisiveness, and being careful of the enemy's traps were among the other points that Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs mentioned at this meeting.


At the end of his speech at this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized: the enemy of Muslims is the enemy of all Muslims, and one must be careful.


Uganda is a country in the East Africa, where 16% of the population is Muslim.


The religion of most Muslims in this country is Shafi'i, and some are Shia.


The exact number of Ugandan Shiites is not known, but some sources have estimated their number between 150,000 and 300,000.
